It is that time of the year again where we have to think
about gifts. Gifts for teachers, loved ones and colleagues. Unfortunately in
our economic state, gifts are super expensive. So this year I am making all my
gifts. I have been playing around with creating natural products for a good few
months, so I decided to make these beautiful hand scrubs for Robbie’s Teachers.
What you will need:
* Glass pots (you can decide on the size)
* Brown Sugar
* 15 ml Coconut oil
* 15 ml Grape seed oil
* Essential oils (Any you like)
* Mixing bowls
* Silicone spatulas
* Twine
* Tags
Method:
* Take jars and fill with sugar till about 5 cm from rim. This
way you will measure out exactly how much sugar you need.
* You will now work with each pot individually rather than
mixing it in a big batch. This way you will get even distribution of oils.
* Pour the sugar of one pot into your mixing bowl. Then add the
coconut oil and grape seed oil. Mix this through well until all the sugar is
coated.
* Now to add the essential oils. There is a technique to
adding essential oil based on their note but for this tutorial you will slowly
add one drop at a time until you are happy with the fragrance. You don’t want
the scrub overpowered by the essential oils. Carry on till
you find a delicate fragrance.
* Return the sugar mix to the container and seal the lid.
* Repeat with all the other jars and seal their lids.
* To make the jar look pretty, add the twine and a tag.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. And I hope that your
friends and family will enjoy them too. Let me know in the comments below if
you would like me to do more of these beauty tutorials.
