My dad loves cars, so for Father's Day I thought I would spoil him and take him to the Piston Ring Clubs monthly car show. A wide selection of cars are always on display, from old to new. There are even bikes. Dad loves to walk around admiring the cars. After all he loves to rebuild them. Here are some of the pics from the day. I think Robbie enjoyed it more than my dad.
The Piston Ring club holds a monthly get together for members and non-members, to come and enjoy the day, admiring old cars. Robbie found Mator almost immediately, but remarked that he needed a few dents and some rust. There is also a vintage market that takes place every month. Here you can find treasures galore and for cheap prices.
At the market you will also find freshly baked goodies, different food stalls and basically anything for anyone. Old toys, books, antique furniture, crystals e.t.c
While looking around on the way out, my dad pointed to my one and only dream car, a Dodge Charger R/T! My legs actually became like jelly. I love this car more than any other car in the world.
The monthly meetings take place at Modderfontein, in Johannesburg. If you love old cars or are just on the look out for some vintage items, then this is definitely the place for you. Entrance fee is only R 10.00 per adults, kids are free. Also bring the dogs with, they are more than welcome.
