Hi, my name is Shalane and I'm 29 years old. I live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I'm a carefree & free spirited single mom to a beautiful little boy. I'm a qualified makeup artist & a lover of all things beauty & makeup related. I also love coffee, music, reading and spending lazy weekends chilling outside, looking up at the clouds. 

I have many different interests and have sometimes been referred to as a scatter brain but this is what makes me the way I am. I have a passion for beauty (duh) but I also love golf and spending time at the racetrack. 

My love of music is totally insane and are just as varied as my interests. If you had to go through my playlist right now you would find classics like Debussy and The Nutcracker. You would also find oldies like The Eagles and Def Leppard (my favorite band of all times) but you would also find lots of One Direction and Taylor Swift. And surprisingly you would also find some Marilyn Manson and Cradle of Filth. 

I am a homebody and choose to spend my weekends at home with family. I am an old soul and am honestly not concerned with all of today's latest trends. I could go the whole weekend without my phone and only just signed up to Snapchat. 

ABOUT MY BLOG...

I have always had an interest in beauty and makeup from a young age. Which comes from my dancing so naturally that was what I wanted to study when I was older. I studied to be a makeup artist but admittedly I have pushed my degree aside and work a 9-5 job. But I am getting back into it and hope to start up again by the end of they year. 

When I started this blog, it was a way to share advise that I could give but it has quickly transformed into a beauty blog more than a lifestyle blog. I still love giving advice and more of lifestyle posts will be coming soon. 

Giving honest beauty reviews has become a priority of mine and I'm definitely not shy to voice my dislikes for a product. I also love creating my own beauty products and will feature them on the blog with an easy tutorial to follow. Check out my stunning hand scrub and lip scrub.

I want this to be a space where you can come for honest reviews and beauty related posts, written by someone who is going through the same things as you and trying to make the world a better place. If you love makeup and beauty then grab a cup of coffee and stay a while.
