Book Review ~ Fallen by Lauren Kate

If you read my previous post here, about what I'm currently reading, I have finally finished the first book in the Fallen series by Lauren Kate.

If ever you wanted a book to reel you in and make you believe in fallen angels, love and soul mates? Then you need to read this book. Luce is a pretty normal girl, except she sees shadows. And ultimately this is what gets her sent to Sword and Cross. A reform school for kids. Kids who need to be kept watch of at all times. 

Here she meets and falls for Daniel Gregori, She is drawn to him, like a moth to a flame. She knows she can get burnt but she doesn't care and somehow she doesn't understand why. Daniel, knows exactly why and tries to get her to stay away, if only for fear of losing her again for the millionth time. Through many trials and tribulations, Luce finally understands why she and Daniel are meant to be. She also understands why she has seen the shadows all her life. 

This series by Lauren Kate will transport you to another time. You will come to love and care for the characters.  You will be cheering them on, and one thing is for sure, you will want the love between Luce and Daniel to grow. 

It is a beautiful love story that has many unanswered question, which ultimately leads you to grabbing you copy of Torment and cuddling up on the couch to see what will happen next between Luce and Daniel, and all the other characters in the book.
