5 Favorite Fragrances

We all have our favorite perfumes. Ones we go back to time and time again. For some it may be one or in my case I have 5. Sure, I like to smell the different perfumes that are on the shelf, but I always go back to my original 5. It has taken me a good few years to know exactly which fragrance family I always go back to. And that family is Oriental, with the exception of one, which is more fruity, but I love it so much! Below you will find my favorite perfumes and their various notes, which you can then layer, as I showed you how to do in my post HERE!

1. S by Shakira

This is the first perfume by singer Shakira. The perfume is light and is in the Oriental Family. Top notes are Peach and Passion Fruit. Middle notes of Jasmine and Cinnamon. Base notes of Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk. I love the little charm that keeps the sprayer up. This is my No 1 perfume!

2. Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan

Every Serge Luten perfume has a story of how it came about. Ambre Sultan was born from a piece of amber that was kept inside a old box for a long time. This is a very Oriental fragrance and has amazing staying power. Unfortunately Serge Lutens does not divulge which notes are where but these are the notes used, Sandalwood, Bay Leaves, Patchouli, Amber and Vanilla.

3. Britney Spears Fantasy

This is my sweet indulgence. I absolutely love this perfume. It's playful and sexy. It has top notes of Kiwi, Red Litchi and Quince. Middle notes of White Chocolate, Jasmine and Orchids. And Base notes of Musk, Orris Root and Woodsy Notes. This is something I would wear during the day or for a sexy night out!

4. Serge Lutens Santal Blanc

This perfume is Oriental but clean. It has notes of Sandlewood, Musk, Pink Peppercorns, Cinnamon and Iris. This perfume, as with any of the Serge Lutens perfumes, will last the whole day and develops slowly.

5. Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille

If you know me, you know I would die for anything that smells like Vanilla, that's why this perfume is so dear to my heart. The creators at Serge Lutens took accompanying notes and made this perfume one of a kind. With notes of Tonka Bean, Bitter Almond, Musk, Black Licorice and Vanilla, this perfume will stay with you forever.
